Templates
Templates are created and saved into PLT files using Chiizu Photo Layout. See the help files for Chiizu Photo Layout to better understand creating templates.
Templates are compositions made up of an overlay image, photo placeholders, transparency settings (in the case of green screen systems), multiple caption (text) placeholders and a background image.
Here's an example:
The background, subject images, foreground and caption are combined to create this output:
They contain not only the layout and overlay images but they also contain color settings, image positions and sizing, sharpness settings, and dynamic data settings (such as date and filename captions) that are automatically applied to each image as it is dragged to the chosen template.
Albums
Albums are used to store templates in the interface for easy access during the use of Picture Layout and Picture Event. Each album in Picture Event should contain the same template style in the various aspect ratios required for the desired print output sizes.
For example: if you had 3 templates for one input folder, you would require 3 PLT (Picture Layout Templates) files. Each PLT should contain templates for each of the output aspect ratios required.
If the print output sizes desired were:
4x6, 6x8, 8x10, 8x12
Then the required aspect ratios would be:
2:3 - 4x6, 8x12 3:4 - 6x8 4:5 - 8x10
So that means that each PLT file would need 3 nearly identical templates, only differing by their aspect ratio.
Once the PLT files are associated with the Input Folders and the Output Folders are created with the desired print sizes and pricing, you should be able to select any of the requested print sizes when the templates are selected within Photo Retailer. It should automatically load in the new image as the print sizes are changed.
If print sizes are not showing up, be sure that your PLT files contain the required aspect ratios templates.
