To create an order, follow the basic work flow described below:
Select image source
Select an image source from the drop down menu. Different image sources can be configured to display images from different folders. They may also be associated with different templates. In this case the image source is the "Greenscreen 1" studio.
Select template
Select a template that you wish to use by simply clicking the desired template thumbnail.
Drag photos into template
A template will contain one or more photo placeholders. These placeholders are marked out with a green rectangle indicating the size and location of the image. Drag a photo thumbnail from the photos pane into the photo placeholders.
Once the photo is dragged into the placeholder it appears instantly.
Image Positioning
Once an image is inside a placeholder, you can resize and position it. To adjust an image, click on the image. A red rectangle with grab points on all four corners will appear. You can adjust the image in the following ways:
Moving the image
| • | Left click and hold somewhere in the center of the image, then drag the image around inside the placeholder. |
OR
| • | Click on the arrow buttons in the Image Position window on the right hand side of the window to move up, down, left or right |
Resizing the image
| • | Left click and hold one of the four drag points that are positioned on each corner of the red rectangle, then drag the mouse to increase or decrease the size of the image. |
OR
| • | Click on the increase or decrease buttons in the Image Position window. These buttons are beside the move image arrow buttons. |
Rotating the image
| • | Click on the rotate buttons in the Image Position window. You can rotate clockwise or anticlockwise and in increments of either one degree or 90 degrees. |
Transparency
The application can be configured to remove the background from an image so that only the subject of the image is overlaid onto the template's background. This is commonly done using a bright green backdrop, but can be done with other colors as well.
There are several different methods available in Photo Retailer to apply transparency to the source image.

Image Effects
You can easily modify the image brightness and contrast as well as sharpen/soften or alter the colour to match the template background for a more realistic effect.
Order Contents
The order contents contains the items in the order so far. You can remove items or place the order if it contains all the required prints.
You can also open archived orders with the Open Order button. Simply type in the order ID and press Place Order to reorder.
