Burning discs

Top  Previous  Next

You can optionally burn data CDs or data DVDs for your customers when they place an order.  The images used to create the prints will be included on the disc as well as any other files you may want to include (screen savers, viewers, other photos, shortcuts to your website, etc).

The settings are managed by right clicking the application window, Settings, Configure Settings.

The Burn to Disc configuration is near the bottom of the screen.

Simply enable burn to disc, set a price and optionally you can set a folder for additional files to be included on the disc.

Clicking the Burners button allows you to disable burners and rename them with a friendly descriptive name such as Top, Bottom, etc or Burner 1, Burner 2...  You can then label the burners so it's clear which order is in which burner.

You can use more than one burner.  If an order has more than one disc or multiple orders are placed close together, the burners can operate simultaneously.

The configuration is that simple.

You can then select to burn discs when the order is placed.  The details of the disc and price will be included on the invoice and in the order XML file.

If you have problems burning discs, be sure that Windows AutoPlay is disabled.  If it's not disabled, it can interfere with burning as the discs are locked by the operating system when it opens them for reading and burning.

Here's instructions for turning off AutoPlay in Windows XP Professional and Vista.
