Using or Creating a Template that is Appropriate for Green Screen Applications.

You can use a pre-created green screen template, or you can create your own using Photo Layout.

The most important element that a template used for green screen applications must have is a background image.

Background images were not particularly useful in non green screen applications since the overlay image combined with the images in the placeholders covered the entire layout, leaving none of the background image showing.

In a green screen application, any of the 'Green' part of the inserted image will become transparent, revealing the background behind.

The background in a green screen appropriate template will lie behind an inserted image. The overlay image (if any) will lie in front if the inserted image.

To insert a background image into a template, simply press the 'Background Image' button from the 'Modify Template Properties' dialog window and select the desired JPEG file.
