Editing Captions

Often, the designer of a template will include one or more text captions. You may be happy leaving the text the way the designer recommended, but you are free to change it.

To change the properties of a caption, simply click on the desired item. Once you have selected a caption, the 'Edit Caption Properties' dialog box will appear as shown in the following diagram.

Moving the Caption

To move the caption, left click on the caption within the 'Active Layout'. While holding down the mouse button, move the mouse so that the caption is positioned in the desired place, then release the left mouse button.

Changing the Caption Text

To change the caption text, simply type the desired text into the 'Edit Caption Text Area'

Changing the Caption Font and Size

To change the caption font, click on the 'Change' button (marked as 'Select Font' in the above diagram) and select the desired font-size, font-face and font-style.

Changing the Caption Color

To change the color of the caption text, click on the 'Color Selection Drop Down' and pick the color you desire.

Adding a shadow effect to the caption

Check the 'Shadow Checkbox' if you wish for a shadow effect to be applied to the caption.

Horizontal Alignment

You may configure the horizontal alignment of the text to be left, center or right, relative to the 'Bounding Rectangle'

Vertical Alignment

You may configure the vertical alignment of the text to be top, middle or bottom relative to the 'Bounding Rectangle'
