Adding the Active Layout to your Album
Once you are satisfied with all of the images and captions within the Active Layout frame, you may wish to add it to your album. To add the Active Layout to the album, simply click the 'Add To Album' button from the 'Layout Properties' dialog box.
Editing a Layout that is in an Album
To edit a layout that you have already placed in to the album collection, simply click on the thumbnail within the album collection. The selected layout will then become the active layout.
Changing the Order of Layouts in an Album
It is simple to change the order that the layout thumbnails are displayed in an album. Simply right click a thumbnail and select 'Move Page -->' to move right, or 'Move Page <--' to move left.
Saving an Album
To save the contents of the Album collection to disk, you simply select ave Active Layout As?from the file menu and choose the file location.
Loading an Album
To load a pre-saved album into the album collection, simple select pen Album?from the file menu and choose the .pla album file you wish to load.
Sending an Album to the Web for Online Photo Sharing and/or Professional Photo Finishing.
Photo Layout has the ability to upload an album to a selection of online photo sharing and photo finishing web sites.
You can upload your album to have it professionally printed and delivered to your door.
You may also choose to create an online photo album for viewing by friends, family and clients.
To upload your album to the web, make sure you have an active internet connection, then select 'File->Send Album to Web/Print Service' from the menu.
The following dialog window will appear.
All of the images that will be uploaded will appear in the Upload Collection region. If there are any images that you do not wish to upload, you should select the unwanted images, and press the 'Remove selected photo(s) from Upload' button.
Photo Layout offers a variety of Photo Sharing and Finishing Providers. You should select the Service Provider that you wish to use from the drop down menu at the top left of the dialog window.
Now choose the actions you wish to take from the region marked 'Service Selection'.
If you chose to create a web photo album, you must log in to the web service. If you chose only to print online, you are not required to log in, but if you do, you will be able to track the progress of your order online.
If you are not already a member of the selected service provider you should press the 'Join' button. This will launch a web browser that will take you through the joining process.
If you are already a member, or have just successfully completed the joining process, you should enter your user name and password in the relevant text boxes. You may test if the details you entered are correct by pressing the 'Test Login' button.
To upload the images, simply press the 'Upload Now' button. Once the upload process has completed, Photo Layout will launch a web browser which will take you through the process of ordering prints online and/or sharing your images online.
Printing the Active Layout, or the Entire Album on your Local Printer.
Simply select 'File->Print' If your album collection contains any layouts, you will be asked 'Do you want to print the whole album' If you answer No, only the active layout will be printed. Otherwise, all the layouts in the album will be printed.
