Adding Caption Placeholders Caption placeholders allow you to add regions that will contain text to your template. In some scenarios, you may wish to suggest the content of the caption to the template user by entering content yourself, such as 'Happy Birthday' In another case, you may wish to leave it up to the template user to enter the text, so you might create a caption that says 'Enter Greeting Here' As the template designer, you select the placement, font, size, color, opacity shadow and alignment and content of the caption. You should remember however, that users of your template are free to change any of these properties as they feel necessary. To create a caption placeholder, simply draw a rectangle around the region where you wish the caption placeholder to lie. To draw a rectangle, click and hold the left mouse button, drag the mouse so that the rectangle with the desired shape forms, then release the left mouse button. Once you have the rectangle in the correct place, press the 'Add' button in the 'Caption Placeholders' section of the 'Modify Template Properties' dialog window. You may now edit the captions properties as described in the help section on editing captions. |
