ChiizuEXIF

Top  Previous  Next

EXIF is generally non-picture information contained in a photo file.  Chiizu supports EXIF in JPG files.  EXIF contains, among other things, the make and model of the camera, the time and date the photo was taken, the GPS coordinates of the photo location and the exposure information.

ChiizuEXIF is designed to store additional information in the JPG EXIF that is useful for the Chiizu Event application suite.  This extra information gets embedded in the JPG file and will stay with the file when it is copied or moved.

ChiizuEXIF can then be used for renaming files and naming subfolders within Chiizu Photo File Workflow actions.

There are a number of defined fields that ChiizuEXIF can contain as well as custom fields that can be added during an action.

For example, a custom field called StudioBackground could be attached in various actions, and then later used to place these files into appropriate folders.  The StudioBackground fields would become available inside the file and subfolder naming templates and any values placed in these fields in an action would be available to use in the naming template.

The ChiizuEXIF data is stored in the UserComments field inside the JPG EXIF.  If there is existing content in the UserComments EXIF field, ChiizuEXIF will store this in the OrigUserComments  field so it will not get lost.
