The barcode and operator input field allows you to scan or type information into Chiizu Photo File Workflow which can then be used for naming files and subfolders within Actions.
Barcode and operator input field
The Barcode fields can then be utilised for renaming files and folders as seen below:
Operators can then scan client badges or printed command sheets (a page with barcodes and descriptions). Alternatively they can type in IDs with the correct prefix to populate the required fields.
There are two kinds of operators - input and functions.
The input operators are used to populate fields which are then used in the renaming and creating subfolder actions. The field ID is a number between 1 and 9 that prefixes the information.
In order to identify the operator, Workflow looks at the first character in the input text. For the functions, it uses the second character to identify the field for the operation.
For example, to enter a person ID into Workflow, you enter 1XXXXX where XXXXX is the person ID you want to use for renaming, etc.
For an operator, the first character is 0 (zero). The operator is always used to clear a field. The second character identifies the field to delete and if it is also 0, all fields are cleared.
For example, entering 01 would clear the Person ID field. Entering 00 would clear all fields.

If you are using a computer to scan barcodes and you want the barcode imput box to stay on top of other applications, you can use the application menu item:
Scanner / Run Run in Scanner Input Mode
This window will pop-up and remain in the foreground so your USB scanner will insert the scans into the correct field.
Simply type "exit" to close this window.
